Your note, front and centre
A larger note with the AI assistant right beside it. Ask for changes in your own words. Nothing is saved until you apply it.
How it works
Open any visit from Visits.
Read and edit your note in the larger main area.
Tap Transcript at the bottom to open the full conversation, and Collapse to put it away.
Use the Assistant panel on the right to ask for changes in your own words. Nothing is saved until you apply it.
Need another document? Tap + Create and choose New note, Referral letter or Patient summary.
Tip: On a phone, tap the sparkle button next to the visit title to open the assistant.
Files & screenshots
Bring labs and outside results into the note
Add a lab report, imaging report, letter or screenshot without retyping it. Prior records are kept apart from today’s findings. Any identifier ROSC still finds in the file is replaced with [redacted], and only the text read from the file is kept with the visit.
How it works
In the Assistant panel, under Sources for this visit, tap Attach file. On a computer you can also drag a file in or paste a screenshot (Ctrl/⌘ V); on a phone or tablet you can tap Take photo. PDFs and photos or screenshots (PNG, JPEG, WebP, HEIC) work, up to 10 MB.
Before you upload, crop or cover the patient’s name, date of birth, address, phone number and chart or health card number with your device’s own photo or screenshot tools. The first time you upload in a session, tick I’ve checked: this file shows no patient identifiers and tap Continue.
Choose Prior record (earlier results, letters or notes) or Today (done during this visit), then tap Read file. Reading can take up to a minute. If ROSC still finds an identifier, it replaces it with [redacted]. Tap View text to check what was read.
Tap Add sources to note, then Propose edit. The request asks ROSC to add the relevant results and keep prior records as dated history, separate from today’s findings.
Review the fact check and the highlighted change, then tap Apply. Nothing changes in the note until you do. To leave a file out, untick Use in notes.
Tip: Redaction is a safety net, not a replacement for cropping. Always remove patient details before you upload. ROSC keeps the text it read, not the file itself, and removing a source deletes that text from the visit. A visit can have up to 10 sources.
Export
Share a finished note as PDF or Word
Download any note as a clean PDF or Word file, named with the visit, template and date. Ready to send, print or attach to your records.
How it works
Open the visit and find the note you want to share.
Tap Export (the download icon on a phone).
Choose Download PDF or Download Word (.docx).
The file is saved with the visit title, template and date in its name.
Offline-safe recording
A dropped connection won’t cost you the visit
If the internet drops or the page closes mid-visit, the audio keeps saving on your device and uploads on its own once you’re back online.
How it works
Start recording as usual. If the connection drops, you’ll see Offline: recording is being saved on this device. Keep going.
If the page reloads or the browser closes, open ROSC again. You’ll see We kept your recording. Tap Process to create the visit, or Download to keep a copy.
Recordings waiting to upload appear under Pending recordings at the top of the screen. They upload on their own when you’re back online, and are then removed from the device.
Tip: On a shared computer, upload or discard pending recordings and sign out before you leave. Recordings are kept on the device for at most 7 days.
ROSC, right inside your EMR
The ROSC Medical Assistant extension opens in Chrome’s side panel, next to the EMR you already use. Record the visit, review the note and insert it into the chart, without switching tabs or copy-pasting.
Works with your ROSC account. Requires Google Chrome on a computer.
-
One-click note insertion
Insert the finished note into the note field of your web-based EMR. If ROSC doesn’t recognise the screen, it uses the field you clicked.
-
Record from the side panel
Start a visit from any tab and follow the live transcript while you talk with your patient.
-
Past visits at hand
Search and open earlier visits, read the transcript and note, and switch templates.
-
Same account, same notes
Sign in with your ROSC account. Visits and notes stay in sync with the web app.
The extension inserts the note into the field you’re working in, so it isn’t tied to one EMR vendor. For an EMR installed on your computer, copy the note or export it as PDF or Word.
Always review the note in your EMR before you sign it.
-
Step 1: Add it to Chrome
Install ROSC Medical Assistant from the Chrome Web Store. Setup takes less than a minute.
-
Step 2: Open your EMR
Open your EMR in Google Chrome and click the ROSC icon to open the side panel.
-
Step 3: Insert your note
Record or pick a visit, then insert the note with one click.
